Your body is the controller.

Stillbreaker is a fantasy RPG for your phone where monsters fight back. Read their guard, dodge their swing, and squat, punch and jump your way through a real story.

How a battle works

Stand your phone on the floor. Its camera watches you, and your real exercises are your moves.

Read the guard

It guards the front, so you punch side-on. It guards the sides, so you squat. Every guard has one right answer.

Counter the attack

A low swipe means jump. A charge means block. A magic blast means spin. Get it right and it can't touch you.

Power Attack

Every third round you get 12 seconds to do as many pushups as you can, and they all land as one huge hit.

A world gone still

A sorcerer hoards the world's Vigor. Where strength is taken instead of shared, the Stillness spreads: villagers turn grey and sluggish, and beasts twist into monsters. You're the Shrine-keeper's apprentice, and a cheeky spirit called the Spark keeps you moving.

Between battles, explore

Put the phone down only for the fights. The rest you play in your hand: walk Tidewell, talk to its villagers, climb to the Keeper's hall, and watch the village come back to life as you win.

Questions

When does the beta start?

Soon. We're letting players in a few at a time, and everyone on the list gets an email when their invite is ready.

Which phones does it run on?

iPhone first, through TestFlight. Android follows later.

iPhone and Android.

Is it free?

Yes.

What does the camera see?

The game tracks your pose on the phone itself. Camera images and body data never leave it. The beta only sends numbers about play, such as how long a battle took, and you can turn that off.

Do I need to be fit?

No. The game teaches one new move per session, and monsters give you more time to react if you need it.
